Ultrasonic Cleaning is fast, thorough and consistent. It can be used to clean articles made from metal, glass, ceramic or plastic; in fact any material that has a least a fair degree of rigidity. Also, because Ultrasonic energy vigorously penetrates any liquid filled cavity, assembled units containing gear trains or other mechanisms, can usually be treated without being dismantled. This includes effective cleaning of the internal surfaces of tubes, crevices and blind holes.

A wide variety of fluids can be used. It will depend upon the type of cleaning required, though for general purpose cleaning, de-mineralised water with a mild cleaning agent is effective and safe.
