Surface Technology plc offers a wide range of surface coatings which come under our Armourcote range – sub divided into 8 groupings.

ARMOURCOTE 1000 SERIES

• Fluorocarbon and fluoropolymer surface coatings over a flame sprayed stainless steel matrix.

ARMOURCOTE 2000 SERIES

• Fluorocarbon and fluoropolymer surface coatings over various flame sprayed primary bases e.g. molybdenum, ceramics.

ARMOURCOTE 3000 SERIES

• Main coating under this grouping is Electroless Nickel.
• Fluorocarbon, fluoropolymer and dry film lubricants as surface coatings either co-deposited or diffused into electro/electroless deposited metal primary bases of various types e.g. nickels, hard chrome.

ARMOURCOTE 4000 SERIES

• These are basically PTFE coatings applied to the component and thermally cured.
• Un-reinforced fluorocarbon and fluoropolymer coatings applied directly to the substrate, after pre-treatment. Phosphate when base metal is carbon steel.

ARMOURCOTE 5000 SERIES

• Dry film lubrication coatings based on MOS2, graphite and fluorocarbons.
• Un-reinforced dry film lubrication coatings based on molybdenum disulphates, graphites and fluorocarbons bonded directly to the substrate.

ARMOURCOTE 6000 SERIES

• Manganese Phosphate coating on Ferrous metal surfaces.
• Miscellaneous and non categorised coatings for anti-galling, corrosion protection, temperature resistance and decorative applications.

ARMOURCOTE 8000 SERIES

• This series is dedicated specifically to customers' own specifications, mainly geared towards the protective paint systems used in the oilfield industry both on and offshore.

ARMOURCOTE 9000 SERIES

• Incorporating anodising and its many varying forms including defence standards 03-24 to 03-26, BS1615, BS5599 and chromate conversions to 03-18. The series also encompasses many aerospace specifications including SAAB, Rolls Royce, British Aerospace and MOD specifications.
