Domain Registration
A domain name is basically a ‘front’ for the unique
string of numbers, called an IP address, which identifies where
a website is located. The domain is a ‘mnemonic’ device
that makes it easier to remember, for example, instead of typing
216.239.51.99 you would put www.google.com. Domain name registration
is available at two levels tld (top level) and cctld (county code
top level). Cctld names are available to UK entities only and
are all names ending in .uk. Tld’s are available on an international
basis, some restrictions may apply depending on your organisation
